Selena Gomez’s alleged stalker, Thomas Brodnicki, has been released from jail.
The man was put behind bars after he reportedly told a therapist that God ordered him to kill Selena. Scary to learn, but the stalking case has now been dismissed because there was not enough evidence against him.
Los Angeles County District Attorney spokesperson Sandi Gibbons told E! News:
“After a preliminary hearing the judge over our strong objection ruled that the defendant lacked the intent to cause fear to the victim and dismissed the case. We are evaluating our next step.”
There’s still a temporary restraining order in place that forbids Brodnicki to go within 100 yards of the 19-year-old star. No word yet on whether or not that will become permanent.

“They spent a lot of time with the puppies. I was told that [Gomez] was missing the dogs that she has at home.”
“I wasn’t expecting her to adopt a dog while she was on tour and has a busy schedule.”

Selena Gomez is hosting the MTV European Music Awards this year, and in a promo for the upcoming event, the 19-year-old is showing off her rougher side!
Wearing an open flannel shirt that exposes her bra, Selena raps:
“Who else better than me to be hosting the show/ People know who the eff I is/ I’m a pro/ The right time and place for me to be/ Yeah, I’ll say it/ Congratulations to me!”

Selena Gomez hasn’t ruled out school all together, but would rather focus on her career at this point in her life.
The 19-year-old told ‘The Ralphie Radio Show’:
“I’m of course always open to [going to college], but at the moment I’m definitely enjoying where I’m at right now and having a great time touring and focusing on that.”
As for reports that claim Selena will star in a prequel to the TV series Sex and the City, she says it’s simply not true:
“That’s all rumors, it would definitely be an honor but I haven’t been approached. I am a Sex and the City fan, actually my mom is probably more, I wasn’t allowed to watch it when I was younger, so I kind of missed a lot but I saw a couple of episodes.”
The Disney darling is super busy these days. Her latest venture? She’s in the process of creating her very own signature perfume!

In the September issue of Glamour magazine, Selena Gomez shows off her favorite beauty looks and talks about her transition to grown-up glam.
Check out some highlights from her interview, below!
On dealing with the rejection of showbiz:
“When I was 11 years old, I had a grown woman who was a casting director tell me I was not strong enough to carry the lead in any project. Now I’m doing things that I love, and I’m working really hard. I never want to play the victim or anything, but of course everybody deals with it. “
On being young and in Hollywood:
“You have this pressure to fit in and you want people to like you. I try my best to be a good person and be the best I can be.”
On her visible Facebook and Twitter presence:
“I love that I can stay connected with my fans and be able to tell them what’s going on—their opinions are so important to me. But at the same time, it’s very weird. I think the Internet can be a great thing but also really evil. Something can instantly hurt your feelings.”
On the media attention that comes with dating Justin Bieber:
“I’m 19, so I feel like everything that I’m doing right now should not be taken too seriously. I should be able to have fun and enjoy where I’m at! So I don’t want to spend my time hiding or worrying about all of that.”
Glamour’s September issue hits newsstands nationwide today, August 9th.
