During a recent interview on The View, Paris Hilton was criticized for complaining about doing community as seen on her reality TV show, The World According to Paris.

Despite reports that claim otherwise, the heiress did not have a meltdown backstage following her appearance. She tells E!:

“I’ve known (Walters) for years, and I really respect her as a journalist. I know that she has to ask questions like that. I think she should actually watch the show, then she’d understand more… I think they hadn’t seen the show. They had only seen a clip where I’m complaining about my community service. You know, I’m not going to wake up at six in the morning and be all excited, ‘Yeah, I’m doing community service!’ I basically said it sucks, and I was being honest. I think they were offended by that, but I’m not really sure. I think (the feud) was really blown out of proportion. It wasn’t that big of a deal. I wasn’t screaming at producers backstage. That’s not true.”

Do you watch The World According to Paris? It really hasn’t been doing that well in ratings – but this incident will definitely give it some more press!
