Kate Middleton To Make First Public Speech

Kate Middleton is set to make her first public speech on March 19th.

The Duchess of Cambridge will address the public at the opening of The Treehouse, a hospice service run by one of her charities called East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

Graham Butland, EACH Chief Executive, said in a statement:

“The visit will showcase the magnificent facilities we can now offer to local life-threatened children and their families, and celebrate the supporters of The Treehouse Appeal. Having our work recognized in this way by Her Royal Highness is not only a tribute to our staff and supporters, but a huge boost for the children, young people and families receiving our care and support.”

That’s not her only upcoming engagement, either! On St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th), Kate will present shamrocks to 40 Officers and Warrant Officers, who will go on to hand them them out to the ranks of the Irish Guards.

She’s definitely staying busy!

Kate Middleton Makes First Solo Appearance In London

Last night, the Duchess of Cambridge attended a private viewing of portraits by the late Lucian Feud at the National Portraight Gallery in London.

Kate looked stylish in a tweed dress by Jesire, finishing off her look with a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes.

This was her first official solo royal appearance without her husband, Prince William, who is doing a search-and-rescue training in the Falkland Islands.

Photographer Mary McCartney, daughter of music legend Sir Paul McCartney, was also at the event and told the Daily Mail Kate complimented her work:

 “It made me blush but I was incredibly flattered. It is refreshing having her here. It is so exciting that she has become involved.”

With Prince William away, the royal couple will be spending their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple apart. Kate is set to travel to Liverpool to visit The Brink (an alcohol free bar linked to Action on Addiction, which she is a supporter of), as well as the Ronald McDonald house at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Kate Middleton Stuns At ‘War Horse’ Premiere

Prince William and Kate Middleton were seen making their way to the UK premiere of War Horse, held at the Odeon Leicester Square over the weekend.

The Duchess of Cambridge actually turns 30-years-old today! So what does a princess do to celebrate her birthday?

According to the U.K’s Daily Mail, Kate will have a “low-key and private” event with close family and friends in attendance.

Kate Middleton Puts Pregnancy Rumors To Rest

Kate Middleton showed off her super slim figure (sans baby bump) in a black velvet Alexander McQueen gown at the Sun Military Awards to honor British troops last night.

The Duchess of Cambridge accessorized her look with a chunky diamond necklace and a matching bracelet and earrings, which she reportedly received as wedding gifts.

Prince William and Prince Harry walked in by her side, looking dapper in black tuxedos.

Where Did Kate Middleton Get Her Scar?

During her first solo engagement as a royal on Thursday, Kate Middleton debuted a three-inch scar near her hair line.

Though the palace noted it was a private matter,  a spokesperson for the Duchess of Cambridge told the UK’s Daily Mail:

“The scar related to a childhood operation”.

No further details have been released, but sources confirm the procedure was “very serious”.

Kate And Pippa Get E! Hollywood Story

Pippa Middleton looked sleek in black on her way to work in London earlier today.

With big sis Kate married to Prince William, her paparazzi attention has flourished! So, it’s no wonder why E! decided to give Pippa and Kate their very own True Hollywood Story.

The network announced:

“E! True Hollywood Story paints a portrait of these dynamic siblings who have captured the affection of millions around the globe. From their quaint childhood, through their times on the London social scene and finally to where they are today, THS reveals the remarkable story of two beauties who rose to celebrity status in the most magical way.”

The special is set to air on October 12th at 10 PM. Will you be watching?

William & Kate: Ready For A Baby?

We’ve heard it all before, but sources say  the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are ready to start a family!

An insider tells OK! magazine:

“They were planning to wait a few years before having their first child, but Kate has done a 180. This is more than just duty. Ever since the wedding, William and Kate have fallen even more in love — their honeymoon and their trip to North America was nonstop romance. Now they really want a child together.”

According to royal commentator Victoria Arbiter, William and Kate “will be keen to raise any children in a normal environment,” despite the unimaginable advantages he or she will have.

Victoria adds:

“Kate has shown how down-to-earth she is. She buys most of her clothes off the rack, she’s happy to do her own shopping at local supermarkets, and loves to cook. While they will be in the public eye, she and William will want any children to enjoy as private and personal childhood as possible.”

So where would the couple like to raise their family? Despite having a small apartment in Kensington Palace, William and Kate may prefer to do so at their farmhouse in Wales!

William And Kate Open Oak Center For Children

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, attended the opening of the new Oak Center for Children and Young People at The Royal Marsden Hospital Sutton, England yesterday.

During their visit, the Royal couple toured the cancer unit and met children who are being treated at the hospital.

Kate always looks so poised an elegant, doesn’t she?!
