Adam Levine Launching New Fragrance

Adam Levine is launching a fragrance named “222 by Adam Levine”, set to hit stores in May 2013.

The Maroon 5 singer will be releasing his new scent alongside ID Perfumes.

Ilia Lekach, who works for the company, said:

”Adam is a performer with tremendous charisma – both on stage and on TV. Endeavoring to capture that in a bottle has thus far been very exciting and we’re certain the final products will be even more so.”

Fun fact: Adam’s co-star on The Voice, Christina Aguilera, also has her own perfume!

Seems like it’s the easiest way for celebs to brand themselves these days.

Heidi Klum Debuts New Fragrance

Project Runway host, designer and supermodel Heidi Klum celebrated her new fragrance Shine, developed in collaboration with Coty Beauty, with a personal appearance on Wednesday at Walgreens in Times Square.

Heidi met with hundreds of fans who were given the chance to get a picture with her and receive a signed autograph.

Shine is said to have a floral scent, including notes of juicy pear, spicy pink peppercorn and warm vanilla.

Yum!

Rihanna Promotes Fragrance in London

Rihanna promoted her new scent, Reb’l Fleur, at House of Fraser in London on Friday afternoon.

The singer rocked an all-green outfit, complete with cream sunglasses and a pair of Louboutin stilettos.

Her perfume is described as ”an intense and daring fruity chypre, composed of sophisticated floral notes: tuberose, violet and hibiscus, – with a splash of coconut water, – over the light and smooth base, the combination of the final notes evokes the impression of warm skin”.

The bottle is designed in the shape of a high heel and even GLOWS from within.

How fancy!

Justin Bieber’s Scent Sells Well

Justin Bieber’s debut scent, Someday, had more than $3 million in retail sales at Macy’s in New York in just under THREE WEEKS!

Experts predict it will be the most successful celeb fragrance launch in history. Karen Grant, vice president and senior global industry analyst of the NPD Group Inc., said:

“If it sustains this momentum, it will become the number-one-selling fragrance of 2011. We haven’t seen anything like it since [Jennifer Lopez's] Glow and [Britney Spears'] Curious.”

During its launch, Justin made an appearance at the retail store, where 325 fans purchased the $135 Someday gift set (pricey!). Terry Lundgren, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Macy’s Inc., told WWD:

“Justin Bieber’s Somedayfragrance, propelled by Justin’s incredible personal appearance at Macy’s Herald Square, has resonated with our customers, and has now become the biggest celebrity fragrance launch on record.”

Proceeds from sales will also go to several charities, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Pencils of Promise. What great causes!

Christina Promotes Upcoming Fragrance in Germany

Christina Aguilera visited the Upside East Lounge on Wednesday in Munich Germany to talk about her new scent.

The songstress wrote on twitter:

“Hello Munich! Doing press and events for my new fragrance which comes out later this year called Secret Potion. Xo”

She looks fabulous!

Jessica Simpson Unveils New Perfume!

Jessica Simpson finally revealed the name of her new fragrance! She tells People Magazine:

“I am so excited to introduce my fourth and final fragrance of the Fancy Collection, I Fancy You. This floral scent is romantic and feminine and conjures up the feelings of a first love that makes you realize that love can last forever … I Fancy You!”

On top of all the wedding planning we’re sure she’s doing, Jessica is staying busy creating a new clothing line with sister Ashlee, geared towards the teenage market.

Justin Bieber Promotes New Fragrance

Justin Bieber showed up at Macy’s in New York City yesterday to promote his new fragrance, “Someday”.

The teen heart throb caused quite the riot outside the Herald Square department store! Tons of screaming fans showed up, and his security accidentally shoved away a cop they had mistaken for a crazy person.

Moshe Benabou, part of Justin’s protective team, was arrested after ignoring police orders to rush the superstar inside. He was cited for disorderly conduct.

Justin’s spokesperson said it was all a “well-intentioned misunderstanding”.

Kardashian Sisters Want ‘Dashing’ Fragrance

 
Kourtney, Kim and Khloe are looking forward to collaborating on a fragrance together (named “Dashing”, of course!), but they all have such different tastes it’s going to take hard work.Kim tells Britain’s Hello! magazine:

“My sisters and I hope to create a perfume and call it Dashing. However, we are all so different – each has such different tastes and personalities, so it will be hard work.”

The 30-year-old, who recently put her own self-titled scent on the market, continues:

“I did enjoy the process but it took a long time because I am such a perfectionist. There was a lot of going back and forth and explaining how I wanted the notes to smell.  The pure extract of a flower does not necessarily smell as you would imagine, so you have to play down some things and kick up other notes to get it just right. Then the perfumer recommended mandarin blossom, which made it come alive.”

Has anyone tried a Kardashian fragrance before? Khloe and her husband Lamar Odom’s unisex scent, Unbreakable, has been doing fab at Perfumania!
