It’s official! Britney Spears has signed on to become a judge on the upcoming season of the X Factor.
Reportedly, the pop star will be paid $15 million a year for the gig.
A source tells E! News:
“That was the big sticking point and now, thankfully, it’s been sorted. All they need to do now is work out the smaller points. The fact the money is now set, means that there is nothing stopping this from becoming a reality.”
A second insider reveals that Brit’s fiancé Jason Trawick will become a producer on the show:
“Jason is expected to be there every day Britney is on set. He is her rock and will help guide her through the process. He is the person she trusts the most,” the second source tells us.
Reps for the X Factor would not confirm nor deny the news, but it sounds like things are pretty definite!

Rumor has it Britney Spears is in talks to join the judging panel on The X Factor.
Simon Cowell told reporters on a conference call Wednesday:
“Are we flattered that there could be interest? Yes. I’ve learned a big lesson: keep your mouth shut. Don’t give it all away.”
Panelist L.A. Reid also commented on the matter:
“The only thing you can count on is that we will likely have two girls.”
Janet Jackson and Fergie are other names floating around to nab a coveted seat on the upcoming season of the hit show (both Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were given the boot after season 1).
Simon added:
“There is a load of speculation. Some true and some not true. It’s true to say there are a lot more people who have entered the frame this year and we really waited to see who was going to contact us before we actually contacted people. We are in that place right now, which is a good place to be. We will meet a number of people over the next few weeks.”

IT’S TRUE! And it happened sooner than we thought…
Jason Trawick confirmed to Access Hollywood that longtime girlfriend Britney Spears is now his bride-to-be:
“Yes, we are engaged.”
He popped the question on Thursday night as he and Brit shared a romantic dinner for his 40th birthday.
Jason chose the traditional route, dropping down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage.
Britney’s sons, 6-year-old Sean Preston and 5-year-old Jayden James, were there to witness the proposal.
Congratulations!

This is SO exciting!
Multiple sources have
confirmed that Britney’s boyfriend, Jason Trawick, will pop the question tonight in Las Vegas.
No surprise for Britney, though! She reportedly knows they’re getting engaged, since her conservators gave the ”stamp of approval”.
Jason even asked her dad, Jamie Spears, for permission to marry his daughter.
Congrats!
PS. There WILL be a prenup.

Another holiday season, another engagement rumor for Britney Spears.
The songstress will turn 30-years-old on Thursday and is set to finish up her world tour next week, but that’s not all she has to look forward to this year!
A source claims that Brit’s longtime boyfriend, Jason Trawick, has picked out an engagement ring and is ready to pop the question:
“They’ve been talking about marriage for a long time. It would be surprising if they are not engaged by the end of the year.”
The insider adds:
“Britney is really looking forward to turning 30. She is having the one of the best times of her life.”
Guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens!

Must have been awkward for her, but we can’t help but laugh!
During her Femme Fatale show in Brazil, Britney pulled a fan on stage for a lapdance routine. When she went to wrap her legs around the lucky guy, he tried to bite her!
The singer removed herself from the situation and continued on like the pro she is.

She tweeted:

Britney Spears looks incredible in her new music video for Criminal.
The songstress cast real life boyfriend Jason Trawick as her on-screen love interest, and the two get up close and personal at several points during the the five minute film!
There was definitely a bit of controversey surrounding the video – in one scene, Brit uses a gun to rob a convenience store. Still, the final product came out pretty damn good if you ask us.
