Jennifer Lopez Is Leaving American Idol

According to new reports, Jennifer Lopez is leaving American Idol

The songstress began her gig on the hit reality TV competition back in 2010, but an insider reveals she’s way too busy these days to continue:

“There is just too much going on for her right now.”

Lopez, who just landed the top spot on Forbes‘ 2012 list of most powerful celebrities, has endorsement deals with L’Oreal and Gillette, a clothing line, and her very own fragrance. She’s also set to go on a 20-city tour of the U.S. and Latin America alongside Enrique Iglesias, and has 4-year-old twins Max and Emme to raise!

The source adds:

“She regrets she can’t stay on the show. It’s been an incredible experience and she is forever grateful that she did it.”

If Jennifer does leave Idol, who do you think should take her spot?

American Idol Contestant Falls Off Stage

Symone Black did a beautiful job singing “(Sittin On’) the Dock of the Bay” by Otis Redding, but it’s what happened after her performance that left the judges stunned.

As she was talking to Randy Jackson, the 16-year-old stumbled, lost her balance, fell off stage and hit her head.

Steven Tyler belted out in horror:

“F-k man! She hit her head!”

Executive producer of the show, Nigel Lythgoe, and a medic rushed to help Symone.

The fall is going to be further addressed on Thursday’s episode of AI.

Is Ryan Seacrest Getting Cut From ‘American Idol’?!

Are Ryan Seacrest’s days onAmerican Idol numbered?

As he enters the last season of his $45 million, three-year contract with the popular show, negotiations have begun on whether or not to keep him.

A source tells The Hollywood Reporter big wigs at AI, which is produced by Fox, FremantleMedia and CKx, believe the singing competition can survive without Ryan if he proves to be too pricey:

“There’s no way Fremantle and CKx will continue to pay Ryan that kind of money when he can be replaced for $2 million to $3 million.”

Seacrest has been presenting on the show since 2002. It definitely wouldn’t be the same without him!

If he actually does leave (and we won’t believe it until he confirms the news himself), the only original person left would be Randy Jackson…
