Get The Look: Jennifer Lopez and L’Oreal Paris

Adriana M. Barraza/ WENN.com

HAIR:

Celebrity Hair Stylist: Lorenzo Martin

Inspirational Quote: “The look I created for Jennifer was inspired by the 60′s. I wanted a gorgeous hairstyle that defined the graceful refined sophistication of that time to complement Jennifer’s beautiful dress.”

Step by Step How-To:

  • First, Lorenzo sprayed L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Volume Root Lifting Spray at the roots of Jennifer’s clean, damp hair to add extra volume before blow-drying it with a round medium-sized boar bristle brush.
  • After Jennifer’s hair was completely dry, Lorenzo distributed a dime-sized amount of L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Strong Hold Defining Gel evenly throughout her hair.
  • Next, he pulled her hair into a high ponytail, securing it with a metal-free elastic rubber band.
  • From there, Lorenzo split the ponytail into four different sections and teased each one. Once all four pieces were teased, he sprayed her hair with  L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Unscented Hairspray.
  •  Next, Lorenzo took one of the four sections and looped the piece into the ponytail, securing it into place with bobby pins. He followed this step with the three other sections of hair – pinning each one in different directions (front, back and side to side) to create a complete bun.
  • To ensure there were no loose hairs or flyways and to maintain a sleek look, he added a bit of L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Smooth & Shine Serum.
  • Lastly, to finish off this effortless yet elegant style, he used L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Unscented Hairspray lightly around all the hair.

Products Used:

  •  L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Volume Root Lifting Spray ($6.99)
  •  L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Strong Hold Defining Gel ($6.99)
  • L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Smooth & Shine Serum ($6.99)
  • L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Unscented Hairspray ($14.99)

MAKEUP

Celebrity Makeup Artist: Mary Phillips

Step by Step How-To:

  • FACE – First, Mary highlighted Jennifer’s natural glow by mixing L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup in Sun Beige ($10.95) with LaMer The Reparative Body Lotion ($180) to create a dewy but even and  smooth canvas
  • CHEEKS – Mary dabbed L’Oreal Paris Magic Smooth Soufflé Blush in Cherubic on her cheeks for a subtle flush of color ($12.95)

2012 Golden Globes GIVEAWAY: Dianna Agron’s Runway Inspired Makeup

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED.

At last night’s Golden Globes, Glee star Dianna Agron stunned the crowd with her  bold red lip and smoldering eyeliner. Here’s how makeup artist Monika Blunder achieved the look. (Bonus: One lucky reader will win all of the L’Oreal products Monika used!)

Inspiration: For Dianna’s makeup, Monika was inspired by the spring 2012 fashion shows where the makeup was fresh but still very glamorous.  Since Dianna’s red Giles dress was so “va va voom,” Monika focused on the lips to be the stand out feature.

Step by Step How-To:

  1. Monika kept Julianna’s skin simple and fresh with a bit of L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup in Light Ivory to give skin a light glow
  2. Since the focus was kept on her lips, only a small amount of L’Oréal Paris Magic Smooth Soufflé Blush in Celestial (Pink) was applied to the apples of cheeks
  3. The bold red lip stole the show; Monika applied L’Oréal Paris Infallible Le Rouge in Bold Bordeaux for lasting shine and pigment
  4. The eyes were highlighted with a hint of L’Oréal Paris Infallible Eye Shadow in Iced Latte with Vaseline applied over it to create added shine
  5. The L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in Black was lightly applied around the rim of the eye and Monika applied several coats of L’Oréal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara in Black to complete the look
Ready for the GIVEAWAY? One (1) lucky reader will win all of the products Monika used to create Dianna Agron’s flawless face:
  • L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup ($10.95)
  • L’Oréal Paris Magic Smooth Soufflé Blush in Celestial ($12.95)

2012 Golden Globes: Freida Pinto’s Elegant Hair And Makeup

Andrew Evans  / PR Photos

HAIR:

Inspired by Freida’s princess-like Prada dress, hair stylist Giannandrea Marongiu wanted to keep Freida Pinto’s hair easy and simple so that the overall look was elegant, timeless and, of course, chic. Giannandrea created a soft twist with the top and sides of Freida’s hair while giving the crown that extra oomph for volume. Cascading waves fell softly down her back to maintain the feel of effortless beauty. Here’s how you can re-create the look:

  1.   Giannandrea began with wet hair and applied a generous amount of L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Volume Boosting Mousse before using a hairdryer to blow it dry using only his fingers to give hair texture
  2. He then applied L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Alcohol-Free Volume Root Lifting Spray & Volume Boosting Mousse to just the crown area to create voluminous lift
  3. Using a round brush, he blasted hair – separated in sections – with high heat and then temporarily set each section with Velcro rollers
  4. After spraying each section with L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray – Extra Strong Hold Unscented for a soft hold, he let the hair sit while Freida got her makeup done
  5. After her makeup was applied, he took out the rollers and brushed through the curls to create soft, flowing waves down her back
  6. He then back combed the crown for added lift and took the top portion of the hair with a few pieces from each side and created a very subtle, soft twist that flowed into the length of the hair
  7. To finish the look, he used a touch of the L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Alcohol-Free Smooth & Shine Crème to smooth out the length and sides to give the style an overall clean feel
  8. Giannandrea set Freida’s look with L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray – Extra Strong Hold Unscented to keep hair in place throughout the night.

Products Used:

  • L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Alcohol-Free Volume Root Lifting Spray & Volume Boosting Mousse ($6.99 each)
  • L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Extra Strong Hold Unscented ($14.99)
  • L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Alcohol-Free Smooth & Shine Crème ($6.99)

MAKEUP:

“Freida has such gorgeous eyes!” said makeup artist Leslie Lopez. “I really wanted to channel a young Sophia Loren and make Freida’s eyes the focal point of her look.”

  1. Leslie gave Freida a flawless face by starting with L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Foundation in W6 (Sun Beige)
  2.  She created a sun-kissed look on the cheeks with L’Oréal Paris Magic Smooth Soufflé Blush in Cherubic
  3. For Freida’s eyelids, she used L’Oréal Paris Infallible Eye Shadow in Bronzed Taupe, and Iced Latte on the brow bone for an extra pop of shimmer
  4. Leslie gave the look an extra layer of smokiness with L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in black before curling her lashes and applying a few coats of L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara in Black
  5. To keep Freida’s eyes the focus, she kept her lips on the natural side with L’Oréal Paris Infallible Le Rouge in Lingering Mocha, a soft mauve

Products Used:

  • L’Oréal Paris True Match Super Blendable Foundation ($10.95)
  • L’Oréal Paris Magic Smooth Soufflé Blush ($12.95)
  • L’Oréal Paris Infallible Eye Shadow ($7.95)
  • L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner ($8.95)
  • L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara ($8.95)
  • L’Oréal Paris Infallible Le Rouge ($9.95)
