I’ve heard about food trucks, but beauty and fashion trucks? Now that’s something I could get used to seeing street side!
Fashion and beauty “trucking” has been all the rage this Fashion Week. From food to fuel New Yorkers through, to hairspray & celebrity hairstylist tips to keep them looking their best, as well as chic band-aids for those inevitable style emergencies, this year’s Fashion Week has been beautifully convenient. Here are some of the trucks that have spotted making stops around the city:
L’OREAL PARIS’ ELNETT CAR: This Fashion Week, L’Oréal Paris is paying homage to all things New York City by taking to the streets with its Elnett Car. A cult favorite of runway stylists and a backstage necessity, Elnett Satin Hairspray “Loves New York” and is celebrating by touring the city’s most popular neighborhoods and providing New Yorkers and tourists alike with the chance to win some of NYC’s most iconic experiences … including some of the necessary staples to make it though the madness in style! Fashion Week enthusiasts can follow the Elnett Car on Twitter (@LOrealParisUSA) to see where it will be stopping and then drop by for a free sample, style touch-up and the chance to win NYC-inspired prizes. It keeps trucking along through September 15th.

URBAN DECAY & THE EDDIE’S PIZZA TRUCK: This Fashion Week, Urban Decay introduced “Pizza with an Edge.” The cosmetics brand partnered with famed Eddie’s Pizza Truck to provide a convenient and chic lunch for busy editors, bloggers, influencers and consumers alike at Lincoln Center. Urban Decay branded ticket-holders indulged in beautified versions of Eddie’s famous thin-crust bar-pie, with menu options like “The Naked” and “The Smokey,” plus exclusive daily specials. For those that were held captive inside Lincoln Center, the “Urban Delivery” option allowed them to tweet their order in.
CYNTHIA ROWLEY’S GLAMBULANCE: Gals experiencing a “fashion emergency” didn’t need to call 911! This year, Fashion Designer Cynthia Rowley and Band-Aid® teamed for the “Glambulance.” Instead of EMTs, the mobile unit boasted a hairstylist, acclaimed make-up artist Mickey Williams, and very fashionable first-aid kits, including Rowley’s own fabulous new adhesive bandages featuring designs like gold chains, sequins, and lace.

BARBIE’S SCAVENGER HUNT: On Fashion’s Night Out, Barbie partnered with four fabulous designers for a glam scavenger hunt. Fashionistas were able to ride free Gray Line double-decker buses and stop at Alice + Olivia, Alexis Bittar, Tracy Reese and Rogan. At each stop they looked for the Barbie-size version of the fashions each designer created specially for Barbie, and entered the QR code for a chance to win the full-sized outfit.

MANOLO BLAHNIK MILKSHAKES: On Fashion’s Night Out, New Yorkers were able to track down the Manolo Milkshake Truck as it traveled across the city to enjoy the legendary designer’s favorite treat…milkshakes! Then, the truck stopped at the Manolo Blahnik store for the unveiling of a special shoe designed by Sarah Jessica Parker, who was in attendance from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. signing autographs.
